I hold FEMA's Advanced Professional Series (APS) and Professional Development Series (PDS) certificates, and I am a commissioned Notary Public in North Carolina.I also have a strong background in meteorology and hazard communication, with a M.A. Geography focused in Climatology from Arizona State University. I worked as a meteorologist and a public information officer for the U.S. National Weather Service (NWS) and the Tucson Fire Department, respectively, for a combined 12 years. I have expertise in severe weather warning issuance and forecast delivery, social media content and account management, program promotion, and website content editing and upkeep. I have led and contributed to multiple specialized programs and media platforms, and have published a research article in the International Journal of Climatology. I am always eager to learn new skills and apply my knowledge and creativity to improve the information and communication services for the public and the partners.
