About Nick Webb
Puzzles, problems, challenges, opportunities for success. However you want to call it, I am here for it. I enjoy tasks that challenge my abilities or skills. It is incredibly satisfying to solve a technical issue using new knowledge obtained. Simultaneously it is energizing working with peers and accomplishing a goal through coordinated efforts. It is great to finish a project but without gaining anything out of the situation such as knowledge, confidence, or improving work relationships it is a missed opportunity.I am currently working with Atomos Space as a systems engineer. As a team member I assist in developing orbital transfer vehicles through many different facets wearing many different hats. I am happily coming across new challenges frequently that allow me to build upon my academic and professional knowledgebase. In my previous position I was an Information Technology Specialist at Metropolitan State University of Denver. In this role along with my team I primarily supported and evolved the current audio & video environment on campus for classrooms, conference rooms, and learning commons. When I was not directly doing this I also supervised 40-55 student employees working in 10 different computer labs and a small support center for educational technology. One of the most exciting projects involved upgrading many of our existing rooms with new software and hardware to provide remote updates, system management, error detection & resolution, and reporting system usage metrics. The commercial product we used was HARMAN/AMX Remote Management Suite with both independent contractor provided and in house developed software. If you are a colleague, have worked on a project with me, a self described maker or problem-solver such as myself, or even want to chat feel free to contact me.
Listed skills include Systems Tool Kit, Engineering, Solidworks, Matlab, and 18 others.
