In this role I lead identifying and executing new investments for x15ventures Portfolio team in coordination with the Commonwealth Bank M&A Team. 🧀 Led and established the core business operations for e-commerce startup, Cheddar. From financial operations through to customer service, done within the high regulatory environment of a bank. 🏡 Coordinated and contributed to CBA’s due diligence into various minority investments, including :Different, which would span over 100 stakeholders reaching the Executive level. 🚲 Revised x15ventures' portfolio pipeline process, including recommending and implementation new technology systems🏃🏽‍♂️. Executed against these new processes which saw me immersing myself into the startup ecosystem in order to boost the quality and quantity of the venture pipeline while identifying the next wave of potential investments and investment focus areas.

Researched, designed, architected and pitched venture ideas for seed funding of up to $250K and managed these funds across programs of work focused on testing feasibility, desirability and viability. I focused on social impact ventures with my work ranging from carbon offsetting and trading (leading into CBA's investment into CoGo), accessibility and identification challenges for remote Indigenous Australians, elder financial abuse (particularly through COVID-19), P2P energy trading (leading into the launch of Wattle, x15venture) and impact investing.

As a Commercial graduate I work in the Retail Bank and rotate throughout a variety of teams. To date, these have included:- the Strategic Projects for the Customer Service Network (CSN) delivering work to optimise the branch network, empower frontline staff and protect vulnerable customers.- The Alice Springs Branch - observing the needs of our rural/regional customers and our staff who support them. - the Direct Channels (call centres) Risk management team working to ensure we meet our regulatory requirements and we meet our obligations to customers.- Innovation and Ventures - driving and facilitating innovation for customers with a focus on our Social Impact and Consumer portfolio.I have also been a part of the following workshops/experiences:- the Colin James Communication Methodology two day workshop. - a 5 Week Design Thinking course facilitated by the Customer Centred Design Team that solves business problems by designing solutions that begin with the customer. This culminated in presenting our recommendations to the CBA Chairman.
