This role has been key to enhancing the knowledge I gained at university, broadening my skillset within the area of financial reporting and auditing. My tasks include preparing financial statements, bookkeeping, and assisting with audit work. Working alongside a team and also speaking to clients to help them deal with their accounts.

This role allowed me to continue building and enhancing my communication and team working skills. I worked both in a team and alone to manage my sections. Ensuring customers were greeted and their needs were met. I coordinated with other team members during busy periods to meet and address any customer problems and queries and ensured that everything was run to a high standard. I was also given the responsibility of applying discounts and offers to customers' bills and calculating the correct amounts owed.

At this role, I was responsible for educating and monitoring the learning journeys of the key children I was responsible for. Creating plans and helping the children to develop. I built relationships with both the children and their families ensuring there was trust and confidence in my abilities and a safe environment they would feel comfortable talking. Outside of taking care of the children I was also responsible for attending a variety of courses to maintain my professional development. Creating and implementing policies and assessments to ensure the setting was legal and up to date with any relevant changes made by external bodies. In addition, managing the finances of the setting ensures the survival of the business and the management and allocation of its funds toward resources.
