Narrative focused on socially conscious photography art projects designed for social impact by challenging antiquated narratives that harm women and BIPOC communities.I am currently working on "My Name Story," a portrait-video project that examines the AAPI experience through the lens of our names at the intersections of race, gender and class. This project explores themes of identity, belonging, and reclamation in a country that oftentimes labels AAPIs as the other and perpetual foreigner. I also work part-time as Projects Manager of Cultures Connecting, a DEIBelonging training organization co-founded by Caprice Hollins and Ilsa Govan. I have a research background in race and gender inequality and have worked in research/program evaluation in the field of education in academia.
