As an experienced imaging scientist with a broad professional base and a passion for high-end light microscopy, I have a proven track record of developing, customizing and teaching a large variety of advanced biomedical imaging methods. Working with interdisciplinary teams at the interface of microscope development and live-cell applications is of particular interest to me. I have also gained experience managing international collaborations in academia and industry, and have developed a strong interest in setting up and managing new lab, core facility and IT infrastructure. Now, I am eager to apply my skills to take on new challenges, find new solutions and enable new applications.

I am working on my PhD thesis in the lab of Jan Huisken at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics in Dresden. For my thesis work, I want to understand how the Zebrafish heart develops and functions at a cellular level. To achieve this, I built a custom light sheet fluorescence microscope, developed a 4-D optical mapping technique.
