I am an open "edtechie" who works in remote, blended, hybrid and mobile settings. I have a mixture of pedagogical, technical and course development expertise. In the last two decades, I have been fortunate enough to have worn many hats, including “IT Facilitator”, “Head of ICT Curriculum”, “Head of Content”, “Instructional Designer”, “Learning Designer” and now “Lead Consultant” for Weblearning. I started Weblearning in 2003. When consulting, I prefer to take an emergent approach to ICTE. I try to design, use (and support) activities that can be supported by educational technologies. An ongoing focus of mine is the use of “open education” resources and practices for the development of digital capacity amongst educators, school pupils, clients, instructional designers, academics and professionals. I prefer to work alongside and in conjunction with people who are looking to enable meaningful and appropriate use of opportunities afforded by the web, phones and data. No matter what location (informal or formal setting) or levels (from pre-primary reading to academic professional development). When away from the screen, I enjoy being with my partner and children, walking and hiking and watching a good game of rugby. I strive to be present, authentic, kind connected and open. Both online and in person.
