I run a small consultancy called Weblearning. My expertise lies mainly with exploring how academics, students, teachers, researchers, librarians and other professionals can openly come to use this distributed network. To teach and become self directed learners.

From 2014 onwards, ELSI began a merger process with CLTD which was formalized in Jan 2015. Professional development for academics is the mandate of CLTD and I was the ed tech working group member, responsible for iPads and ePortfolios in the newly launched PGDip Higher Education. Apart from my existing Sakai responsibilities, I also managed 4 new new team members, appointed to run three projects, namely digital literacies, open education resources development and course improvement. As Wits sought to scale up elearning, "Blended Learning"​ became the focus of our work. As Head of Content Services, I worked with a team that took responsibility for planning, liaising and coordinating initiatives, projects and programmes intended to promote better use of Sakai.During Sakai's implementation phase, (2010-2013), my team worked closely together with eLSI’s other two teams, Learning Design and Software Development to customize and promote uptake of Sakai. Content services supported ID's with gathering, organizing, and editing textual, visual and audio content. We also worked in conjunction with the SD to design, test and document LMS tools. We also took responsibility for co-ordinating the unit's external communications, so that eLSI is able to let colleagues, staff and students see and understand the bigger elearning environment.

At Web Learning, a small Instructional design consultancy that I started, I worked with teachers, academics, managers and fieldworkers that wanted to make better use of the web. Together we designed and developed web media that was intended to become an integral part of their work.

At Sough and Eton CE School I managed the ICT department, introduced e-learning into the Slough and Eton ICT curriculum and taught ICT to year 10, 11 and 12 students.

At Alexandra High I led the ICT curriculum integration development. I initiated and developed e-learning programmes and packages, trained staff in appropriate computer skills and taught grade 8 and 9 students computer competencies

As Head of History I wrote and developed appropriate learning materials across all grades. I also developed a skills based approach to history teaching and created appropriate teaching and assessment resources to sustain the approach.
