DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ●Setting standards and targets of activities for the school.●Maintaining the school infrastructure and facilities.●Planning,developing and monitoring curricular and co-curricular activities of the school.●Maintaining discipline among staff and students of the school.●Ensures the keeping of statutory records of the school, adhere strictly to the approved admission and transfer and approves issuance of testimonials and certificates.●Supervises the proper completion of entry schedule of approved external examinations.●Monitoring the performance of his Deputy Principal and Deputy-Principals.●Conversant with Government policies and regulations as they affect the school system.●Endorse all incoming and outgoing correspondences for action.●Maintaining a functional and cordial relationship with the school community, School Management Committee, Old Students’ Association and other critical stakeholders.●providing job description for all supporting staff.●A lead educator and administrator in the institution ●Managing and implementing the institution curriculum. ●Administering teaching functions in the institution including evaluation of curriculum delivery ●Responsible for implementation of educational policies and professional practice and maintenance of teaching standards at the institution ●Custodian of records of the institution●Ensuring diligent utilisation of the institution resources. ●Ensuring maintenance of high standards discipline by both teachers and students ●Responsible for resource mobilisation,project planning ,administration and management of human resources●Responsible for the establishment and maintenance of a safe and conducive environment for learning ●Conversant with relevant provisions in the constitution and other laws and regulations that relate with education and teaching profession.●Monitoring students performance ●overseeing the curriculum related and co curriculum activities.

The Designed lesson plans complied to all students learning styles with inclusitivity of all types of learners in the classroom. ●Assessing learners to measure them using appropriate assessment tools and effective tools both formative and Summative tools.● Designing records of work and responded to them sincerely after classes giving keen Interest to the weak areas of each individual learner.● Guiding and counselling learners in general and at individual level to shape behaviour and give a direction to the new school. ●Evaluating learners with multi tools.●Class teacher roles to the form 2 class ●Assessing students progress and participation. I gained a new sense of professionalism and a clear view of what it meant to be in the professional world.It was amazing putting the skills learned in class and theories to practice . The skills and knowledge I'm taking away are immeasurable.I could not have asked for a better first internship experience to build a foundation for my career. The internship has provided me with a wonderful opportunity to acquire practical pedagogy knowledge and skills to handle diverse learners in the classroom with a sense of responsibility,passion and love to model learners who have the English language literacy skills , Literature skills and are able to fit in the society well guided with the curriculum given. I did all works delegated to me with passion and self drive.I did guidance and counseling to learners in general and even at a personal level to ensure that their mental health is taken care of all round their psychology in all forms :form ones,twos,threes,fours.I was the journalism club patrol and also enjoyed exploring the journalism world and modeling learners with great passion in the field.I also was privileged to be the debate club teacher and modeled learners to debate motions and develop good public speaking skills.
