In 2012 I began working with DMA to expand their business and build a new division to capitalize on the expanding Polished Concrete market. The United States Marines gave me my first chance to lead people. My most recent assignment was that of an instructor at The Basic School at Quantico, Virginia. I was responsible for planning, coordinating and conducting periods of instruction and at times live fire ranges for classes of up to 150 Marines. Often classes were conducted as a team with other instructors and assets where communication and attention to detail were paramount. I was responsible for a small unit of 15 Marines where I handled their training, administrative, logistical, disciplinary, and personal concerns. I have worked in an environment where I was a part of a smaller team and worked with little to no guidance other then the commander’s intent and a basic mission plan. I also worked in the Fire Support Coordination Center where I was responsible for coordinating and de-conflicting troop movement and supporting arms fire.
