Conceptualized and led development of the Tribal Lands Collaboratory with partners including the Tulalip Tribes, American Indian Higher Education Consortium, and USA National Phenology Network. Integrated this vision with national and international socio-environmental indicators.• Selected as a member of the 17-member US Delegation to the Belmont Forum e-Infrastructure and Data Management Collaborative Research Action. The Belmont Forum comprises the world’s leading funders of global environmental change research.• Developed a community architecture that demonstrated how plant phenology data from NEON, the US Geological Survey, and the Tribal Lands Collaboratory can be used to compute national and international climate change indicators. • Contributed language to a citizen-science and crowdsourcing bill signed into law by President Obama.
