I started my career at Wolf Creek in November 1978 as a member of the future operating crew. I was a control room supervisor when I received my initial cold license Senior Reactor Operators license in 1984. I was the Operations Manager from 1990 to 1994.In 1996 became the Manager of Emergency Preparedness and put together a plan to improve the facilities in the Technical Support Center and Emergency Off-site Facility.In 1998 transferred to the outage group and was one of three people that developed the outage schedule for the shortest outage in Wolf Creek history. The original schedule was for 33 days and the outage was completed in 36.8 days in May 1999.In 2000 transferred to system engineering and was in charge of emergency diesels both mechanical and electrically, load shed load sequencer system, main generator and main generator voltage regulator until March 2012. Transferred to the Digital Project Engineering group in 2012 and I supported installation of new main turbine and feed water pump turbine control system and replacement of 480 volt breakers. During the main generator stator replacement served as assistant project manager. The project included the replacement of generator stator bars, high voltage bushings, current transformers with new isolation switches, thermocouples, RTD’s, installation of upgraded hydrogen coolers and replacement of the water cooled rectifiers for the voltage regulator. The project was completed on time and under budget.After the digital projects group was disbanded I transferred to the Engineering Fix-It-Now team (EFIN).The EFIN Team serves as a single Point of Contact, during normal working hours, for all engineering customers.
