After taking a lead in the cost control process in Colonial Williamsburg HPI, we have implemented a process that ensures that menus are planned with an eye towards the freshest available product, recipes are cost effective and consistent, and that everyone has accurate information in order to fulfill their roles successfully.We have also undertaken a training project to streamline bringing new hires up to speed in order that they may be able to fulfill their roles with the least amount of downtime possible.With taking control of the Point-of-Sale system for the various Hotel Property outlets, we have revamped the system to provide a consistent look across all locations, streamlined the programming process in order that items that used to take days to program now only take a few minutes, created a coherent and consistent location based sale price structure, and developed several processes to provide up to date information on sales, cost of goods, margins, and product mix.With the auditing process, we can check that the proper items are being used in the correct amounts, the correct procedures are being used in the ordering and inventory process, and that the front of the house is accurately using the POS system.We also provide support for the opening of new locations, special events, and any other duties that might require us.
