About Wee Wee Chia

In my career spanning more than 20 years, I have been fortunate to have been trained in all aspects of marketing and business management.From my first job in DFS as a management trainee where I graduated out of a 16 month rigorous programme to run one of DFS's retail outlets as shop manager after complete hands-on training from being a salesperson on the shopfloor, to cashier, to sales supervisor, to merchandising and warehouse operations, I understand the retail trade from having actually managed a store for 3 years. Retail is exciting and real-time. I have a deep affinity with numbers and data. This was developed when I spent the next 3 years of my career in Nielsen, serving FMCG customers on the interpretation of their retail measurement reports published and bought from Nielsen. These years spent in marketing research drives my belief that decisions are best made when supported with data and understanding customers' responses to marketing tactics through measurements of outcome.The next stretch of my career was spent in DHL where the practice of business strategy, marketing and business communications was thoroughly lived and breathed. I believe the fruitful years I spent growing from a role in a single country organisational setup to a sub-regional and finally to regional APAC organisational role provided me a good appreciation of marketing, business strategy and management. Setting up my own digital marketing and business consulting agency enables the use of my hands-on skills and wide experiences to help my clients' businesses adapt and transition to the digital environment.In December 2017, I joined Precursor Group to head a new Digital Marketing Solutions and Advisory Services division focused on helping Enterprise and SME clients grow their businesses.After a stint in a not-for-profit membership body where I engaged members, students who are in the heavily disrupted finance industry, I joined GEODIS in March 2020 as the Regional Strategic Marketing Director, before I left in April 2023.After a career break, I am now with B H S, a locally born and bred company who is rapidly expanding outside Singapore. with services covering not just the provision of logistics in transportation and warehousing solutions. additionally, we are the experts in providing engineering solutions for our customers with highly sensitive cargo.
