Drafted a sub-chapter on CIT’s standard of review, as part of Judge Pogue’s book chapter on US trade jurisprudence. Drafted a bench memorandum regarding the participation of a proposed amicus curiae. Reviewed and cite-checked chamber’s slip opinions.

Drafted a review on China’s banking sector and capital investment, as part of a World Bank report on China. Interviewed 20 Chinese government officials at the provincial and municipal level regarding local urbanization policies. Worked closely with international experts on urban development, and provided timely data analysis and feedback. Built an econometric model for the World Bank to assess the impact of infrastructure investment on local development.

Analyzed elderly labor participation using household data from China, Japan, Korea, United States, and other countries. Edited questionnaires for China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Survey (“CHARLS”), a national representative survey on aging and retirement in China; tested CHARLS pilot data and provided feedback on survey design.

Investigated the impact of the 2008 economic crisis on Asia’s commodity market. Prepared a United Nations’ presentation at the 2009 Regional Round Table on Asia’s Commodity Market. Analyzed bilateral and multi-lateral trade relationships among ASEAN countries.
