POPPLE是一家为雇主和猎头公司提供求职者信息的平台，它融合了很多最新的技术，为应聘者和雇主提供的信息搭建了一个迅速配对的纽带。我去年五月份开始在POPPLE实习一直到今年一月底。主要从事POPPLE这个平台的推广工作，让更多的企业和求职者知道这个平台和它所提供的服务内容。工作的主要内容是分析用户需求（与雇主进行不断的交流），大数据在这里得到最为广泛的运用，同时尽可能地收集更多的求职者信息（邮箱地址），广告的投放，和团队一起提升平台的功效。而且在实习阶段我也在写我的研究生毕业论文，我把从中得到的一些软件开发方法论和团队共同研发的经验写入我的论文当中。

Bai Huo Da Sha is the shopping centre which is located at county-Gao chun. It has more than 500 employees and around 80 shops. I was responsible for maintaining the stability of the data system, and analyzing the data of sales, stocks and profit. At the same time, I had to report the information that I got from the collected data to the manager, so he and the business intelligence team of the company can make adjustments to the sales strategy. The data that I collected was constantly changing. I had to make a report every week or even every day. By mastering the movement of data, it’s more effective to arrange the purchase quantity and variety, sales prices, sales methods. The technologies of data mining and data warehousing were involved in the process of analyzing various data. Skill used: SQL Sever 2008, OLAP and EIS.Skill gained: Stock control, Database management, Data mining, and Data warehousing.

As a software engineering student, I worked on a business intelligence team for the college project for my B.Sc. in China for 4 months. I was responsible for analyzing new product concepts, drafting engineering sketches, creating real-world models, and handling quality assurance issues. Air pollution is a big problem for the big cities in China. The City Nanjing where my University is located has the same problem. There was a new product (a type of liquid) that’s called ‘Tankman’ that has come to the market, which is used to increase the efficiency of gasoline and reduce exhaust emissions. But the sales were not good. Then the company that produces ‘Tankman’ contacted us. We made a detailed sales plan and marketing model for it. We tried to make the sales experiment in the gas stations around the university, and found some problems of the previous sales plan. Then we contacted the company, exchanged our views on the sales model and consumer experience. After several revisions, the new plan was drawn up. The sales of ‘Tankman’ were improved. After 6 months, the sales reached nine times more than before. Now almost every gas station in Nanjing is selling ‘Tankman’.
