Born in Yilan, Taiwan, Wei Pai have been praised by critics, teachers, fellow musicians alike as having a “virtuosic display” at the piano and a “philosophical presentation” for the music he plays. Wei recently received his Doctoral Degree in piano performance from the University of Minnesota studying with astonishing teacher Alexander Braginsky. As an educator, Wei began his teaching career in Yilan where he taught piano students ranging from beginner to intermediate level. With over decade’s teaching experience, Wei continues contributing his passion in music to his students in an informative and intriguing way. With Wei’s patient and gentle piano lessons, all of his students have shown passion, confidence, and wiliness to share their love for music at a recent student recital concert.

Dr. Wei was a teaching assistant at NIU where he accompanied students from various music departments including strings, brass, woodwinds, and vocal on their recitals and juries.
