I am a recent graduate from The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a triple minor in Business, Computational Science and Engineering, and Spanish. I graduated with Cum Laude honors and with High Distinction in the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at Rice University. My Ph.D. research focuses on the electrochemical transformation of CO2 and H2O to valuable fuels and chemicals, in efforts to close the carbon cycle. This constitutes a promising technology to accelerate the energy transition. My main investigations are directed towards creating efficient and stable electrocatalysts.Other than my Ph.D. research, I am passionate about coding. I love to be able to come across problems and use my knowledge of computation science to solve them. My programing experience extends to Java, Python, Julia, SQL, C++, and MATLAB.Previously, I interned at Kairos Power, where I proposed a unique flow measurement solution to help control the heat transfer system of a nuclear reactor. I also worked with Shell Oil Company as a control systems engineer intern. There, I got the chance to learn the ins and outs of an oil refinery and work to improve the control processes within the refinery. I have also had experience working on polymers with Henkel in their adhesives industry. There, I worked in a research lab, performing reactions of polyurethane hotmelt adhesives to observe the use and effects of an adhesion promoter to create a product with excellent adhesion between organic materials and metals (see my PowerPoint on it under my experience at Henkel).
