 Designing: Participate in the planning and design of water resources, flood control, drainage system projects. Modelling: Build hydrological and 1D/2D hydraulic models to simulate and analysis water-related progresses of the urban surface water system under different scenarios and give optimized advises.  Spatial analysis: Analyze the spatial information such as land surface elevation, runoff drainage direction, land use, vegetation, water quality and inundation with QGIS and other water management modelling tools. Projects coordination assistance: Mainly support to coordinate the work of different specialties, and manage the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications.

To develop a transient 3D groundwater model for groundwater level simulation. This groundwater model will mostly focus on the simulation of extremely low groundwater level in Gouda which would do harm to the wooden piles of the historical houses and accelerate the land subsidence. After that, this model can be used to test the influences of some water management strategies and linked to the land subsidence model.
