As a member of the Leadership Team (LT), I report on the ‘IDT & Digital Innovation SOM’ portfolio finances. My primary focus is on Cost Recovery, but my team’s scope extends to Financial Planning, Budget Management, Purchase Order (PO) processing, and Digital Enablement.Key Responsibilities:• Cost Recovery: Oversee the bundling and recovery of costs for applications and services, including AI, Virtual Reality, Mobility, Software Engineering tools, and Analytics. Ensure Shell end users have access to cost-effective IT solutions tailored to their needs.• Financial Planning & Budget Management: Lead a financial planner for cost monitoring, operational budget management, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization of resources.• Digital Enablement: Lead a digital enablement engineer for internal marketing, adoption change, and communication strategies to enhance service engagement and team collaboration.Achievements:• Process Optimization: Enhanced cost recovery accuracy to 98.5% by monitoring vendor spending, recovery, and track product adoption for an optimal balance between cost, recovery, and demand.• Data-Driven Insights: Co-developed ‘CORE’, an Alteryx driven PowerBI-based dashboard for gathering consumption data and monitoring cost recovery. This tool supports data quality control, providing processes for data submission and keeping track of uptake & recovery, while driving continuous improvement in service operation.• Cost Savings: identified more than 10% as cost savings and consequently reduced current year’s spend, including the operational plan.
