• 30+ years of experience in Materials Science in both laboratory and manufacturing environments.• Experience with the metallurgy and mechanical behavior of structural metallic materials including stainless steels, titanium alloys, aluminum alloys, and nickel-based superalloys, as well as materials processing including casting, forging, hot rolling and heat treating.• Hands-on experience with metallurgical analysis and failure analysis using various analytical techniques including metallography, SEM/EDX, and TEM.• Working knowledge of mechanical testing of structural metallic materials including tensile, fatigue, fatigue crack growth, fracture toughness, creep, and oxidation testing. • Working experience with processing-microstructure-performance relationship.• Working experience with analysis of performance, durability and failure mechanisms of thermally-sprayed (APS, HVOF, LPPS and CGDS), CVD, PVD and EB-PVD produced metallic/ceramic coatings (TBCs). • Working knowledge of data analysis, life assessment and prediction for materials and coatings.• Experience in designing experiments and developing test plans for materials and coatings development and assessment.• Management experiences to oversee R&D projects and materials testing lab.• Supervise experience to guide junior engineers to set up their project goals and technical approaches, and prepare technical reports, scientific papers and research proposals.• Presentation experiences to demonstrate research findings to customers, consortium members, and audience at technical conferences.
