I'm a Senior firmware engineer at SMI. My main job is using C to implement SSD FTL algorithm. Besides, I was developing the script by Python to create the socket translation language(STL) on CModel. These below are my working experiences and contributions at SMI.1. Pertest Flow This is about Flash FW into the device flow that include bad block management, trainAdj, build parameter/total bad block/ table, ISP code, MPISP code, Boot code etc.2. RDT (Reliability Development Test) Check every block is good and record the final result when previous MP Flow if user want to reference it.3. Developed projectsA. 2504XT/2268XT/2269XT4. Main jobs A. Sequential & Random Write/Read flow : Fixed bugs on Write and Read flow B. GC flow : This is about manage NAND block mechanism that purpose is release the block for host use. C. Develop the unites on FPGA : Discussed with HW RD to design the unites for validating HW IP functions on FPGA. D. Develop SM2504 project on CModel i. Using Synopsys Virtualizer to assistant CModel team to validate, debug, and develop for HW IP. ii. Develop the socket translation language(STL) script by Python that can fast and easy to create the scripts. E. Analyzed the usage rate of the function in ITCM using Synopsys Zebu. F. Simulator real ASIC environment and debug on Synopsys Zebu.

This is my first job at Phison electronics, I major in automatic tools to run tests about TCG features for FW. Besides, I enhance and develop other patterns, scripts, and tools. I also discuss with FW/PM/TE team to achieve the requests. Below are my main tasks.1. Desing and Develop automatic tools and systems. I design the system, through Raspberry pi to monitor the screen and develop an automatic tool that encrypts/decrypts storage tests via Python, Batch, and automatic methods on Windows.2. Develop Patterns, Scripts, and tools. These tasks mainly use C/C++ and Python to validate FW, just like power cycle, measure init timing, Burn-in, update FW, etc. Besides, I’ll analyze pattern/script issues to assist the FW team to debug.3. Create the platform tool by C# and SQL. This tool is collecting the platform information; The client can save the data that provides the user to search for useful information in the database.4. Team co-work with FW/PM/TE. I’ll contact other department members in my job.
