Worked in Dr. Andrew Ashley's group at the Department of Chemistry for my BSc project, on characterizing the structure and reactivity of a potential diazene-bound intermediate in an iron bis(diphosphine)-based catalyst for the selective reduction of dinitrogen to hydrazine. This work was recognized with the HVA Briscoe Prize for Excellence in Inorganic Chemistry, and with a Highly Commended by The Undergraduate Awards.

Sponsored by the Amgen Scholars Program to work in the ERATO Akiyoshi Bio-Nanotransporter Project led by Prof Kazunari Akiyoshi at Kyoto University, on cross-linking self-assembled glycopolymer structures for improved stability. This work was published in Macromolecular Rapid Communications in 2018.

Worked on the fabrication of AC-driven quantum dot-light emitting diode (QD-LED) devices incorporating plasmonic nanostructures

Worked on optimising synthesis conditions of dry liquids for carbon capture, as well as the integration of nanolithography with metal-organic framework (MOF) synthesis.
