As Executive Audit Director for Consumer Lending (2013-2018) and Consumer Banking (2017-2018), Mark helped transform a moribund audit process and function into a highly effective group that identified material operational, compliance and reputational issues. In those roles, his stature and credibility with management helped drive needed improvements in operations, controls and risk management, contributing to the closure of two enforcement actions.Prior to joining Wells Fargo, he served in a number of risk and regulatory roles at Ally Financial from 2006 through 2013, where he helped to guide the firm through its separation from General Motors, its conversion to a bank holding company, and resolution of its mortgage servicing enforcement actions. He was previously a risk and advisory Partner with KPMG LLP from 2003-2006.Mark currently serves as an advisor, mentor and officer-in-residence with Queen City Fintech. He previously served on the steering committee for the Advanced Operational Risk Group of The Risk Management Association and as Vice Chair of the Internal Audit Committee of the Consumer Bankers Association.
