I have skillfully managed a wide array of litigation matters, including, defense of broker-dealers, financial planners and registered representatives; defense of educational institutions; and defense of employers in employment disputes. I have a national securities practice that involves defending securities professionals in response to claims for fraud, negligence, violation of blue sky laws, suitability issues and related matters. I have handled these disputes both in the FINRA arbitration arena and state and federal court. My employment practice has been focused on defending and advising small to medium-sized employers in all facets of litigation, including administrative agency matters, pre-suit negotiations and complex state and federal discrimination lawsuits. I also draft employee handbooks, termination letters, and separation agreements, and counsel and advise employers on hiring, firing and disciplinary issues. My school law practice involves defense of educational institutions in matters involving harassment, discrimination, and related issues. I have also served as a expulsion officer for expulsion dismissal proceedings throughout Minnesota.
