About Wei-Ting Tang
I am Wei-Ting Tang, studying at Carnegie Mellon University, and I will graduate this December. My interest is in system programming, especially databases and cloud computing. Courses I have taken include Storage Systems, Advanced Cloud Computing, and Distributed Systems. In the course Storage Systems, I built a hybrid cloud-based file system that supports extremely large file storage and efficient file access.I interned with Bloomberg this summer, building a REPL shell for importing internal packages and frameworks in TypeScript. Prior to that, I also interned at Grindr, working on the Android team implementing new features such as emoji animation for live streaming in Kotlin, and interned at ASUS Intelligent Cloud Services, implementing a heat map visualization for retailer stores.
