I have specialized in Housing and Real Estate Sector sphere in an era of worldwide zero monetary interest rates and a rapid rise in housing prices in Israel. Togethere with research, I collaborated with many expert bodies operating in this area—government ministries and the Housing Cabinet; academia, including research about this sphere abroad; and private contractors and initiators. I was the delegate of BOI in the Housing Cabinet. I authored the chapters on the Construction and the Housing Markets in the BOI Annual Report for nine years (2008–2016), as well as writing on other subjects in this industry for various BOI publications. I analyzed and wrote numerous position papers on government policy measures in this area, as well as BOI measures. I was a member of several committees. In the Monetary sphere I have experience in theoretical and practical issues. My PhD dissertation and MA thesis discuss theoretical and empirical issues in depth, including New-Keynesian theory and classical inflation-bias theory, and use DSGE (Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium) models.

I had the honor of belonging to the economic team that established the Financial Stability sphere at the Bank of Israel. Specifically, I had the responsibility of establishing and developing the methods for analyzing the exposures and the stability of the financial institutions – pension funds, provident funds and insurance companies – and of the nonfinancial business sector and households. I wrote the chapters on these issues in the periodical financial stability reports published by the Bank. Even before the financial crisis of 2008, I published a study about the exposures of the insurance companies in general (i.e., globally) and specifically and empirically in the Israeli insurance industry. I also published an empirical study that dealt with the search for central exposure indicators of the nonfinancial business sector that may affect the stability of the Israeli banking system.

My PhD dissertation and MA thesis discuss theoretical and empirical issues in depth, including New-Keynesian theory and classical inflation-bias theory, and use DSGE (Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium) models.In terms of practical issues, my experience involves implementing monetary policy in an era of a new inflation-target policy and disinflation process; develop of new monetary tools and a data infrastructure to facilitate policy decisions; authoring chapters in the Monetary Department’s annual report, and conducting research. Additionally, I participated on IMF staff teams to Armenia as a Monetary Policy Consultant.
