Currently, I serve as an International Trade Manager at the MEDC, where I excel in providing strategic export consultation and personalized coaching to Michigan SMEs. My guidance has empowered countless businesses to develop robust export strategies and achieve remarkable success in global markets.I am a seasoned business development professional with expertise in marketing, strategic business planning, project management, international trade, and market research. With skills in cross-cultural communication, I have successfully navigated diverse cultural landscapes, building strong relationships with clients and partners worldwide. Over the years, my efforts have resulted in $2.5 billion in recorded export sales for West Michigan companies which transformed West Michigan into the best performing region counting for over 40% of the statewide success for the program.My leadership extends to leading trade missions, including planning and organizing the business delegations for Governor Snyder's annual China Trade Mission for seven consecutive years, significantly enhancing Michigan companies' presence in the Chinese market. Additionally, I have played a crucial role in managing the STEP grant for the West Michigan region, supporting SMEs in securing funding for their export activities. My innovative approach has increased the utilization of the International Trade Program, boosting facilitated export sales from less than $50 million in FY2014 to over $300 million annually in FY2019.I collaborate strategically with international, regional, state, and local partners and stakeholders to drive lead generation, enhance service quality, leveraging their feedback and insights to continuously optimize and refine offerings.
