1) Prepare semiconductor/metallic thin films using Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD), Sputtering Deposition, Evaporation Deposition, Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD), Electrochemical Deposition, Chemical Bath Deposition, Hydro-thermal Method, Sol-Gel Processes, Spin-Coating Deposition, Blade-Coating Deposition, Tube Furnace.2) Fabricate and characterize low dimensional (one/ two dimensional) nano-structures, for example, nano-dots, nano-wires/rods, nano-sheets etc.3) Test and characterize the quality and properties of semiconductor materials using X-Ray Diffraction, Scanning Electron Microscopy, Energy Dispersive X-Ray Spectroscopy, Photoluminescence Spectroscopy, UV-Vis Spectroscopy (Transmittance, Reflectance, Absorption), Raman Spectroscopy, Hall Effect and Resistivity, Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy, Polarization Curve, I-V Curve.4) Fabricate and characterize thin-film/nano-structure based solar cell devices.5) Synthesize photo-catalyst and apply in water splitting/hydrogen evolution.6) Understand the mechanism and property of semiconductors by Modeling and Simulations based on Density Functional Theory.7) Supervise undergraduate student research;8) Lab equipment maintenance, document file and training for new users.
