I am also managing an industry-led technical and vocational training for manufacturing as well as a plastic molding and vacuum forming business in which we help customers realise their product designs and reengineer their manufacturing process to achieve non-incremental improvement through a combination of design thinking, materials, process and mold making knowledge.----We started out serving Molex, Tyco and AMP for their precision mold inserts. We could hold a combined tolerance of +/- 2 microns for a stack of 20 inserts.We then built precision capabilities for round parts such as gears and their tight concentric requirements.From our strong precision machining base, Deston eventually evolved into a mold maker for small precision parts of strict requirements. Deston has two other businesses lines:(1) Deston Precision is a provider precision tools (plastic moulds, cutters, form tools) and spare parts (mold inserts and machine spares) of up to 5 micron tolerance. - Small, precise, intricate parts - 2 and 3 shot molds - Metal injection molds(2) Deston Plastics, in China, provides large-format plastic forming services including semicon equipment outer shell in plastic as well as plastic sheet extrusion. Partnership resulted in a project lead worth US$8million that is currently in advance technical discussions. o Penetration of the Japanese automotive supply chain by a Singapore automation company by first introducing a lead resulting in US$1million for phase 1 of project and subsequently introducing a mid-tier Japanese industrial product distributor as a partner to target the Japanese automotive industry in Indonesia.
