I own and operate a blog focused on humor. It was written under a pseudonym so the content will have no reflection upon me personally or my ability to represent an employer professionally. In the interest of financial solvency, I am also driving full-time with Transportation Network Companies (Lyft and Uber). In addition to these productive activities, I have been doing a great deal of sailing on San Francisco Bay.

As the sole recruiter at a growing software startup, worked with hiring managers to execute hires in all departments. Sourced, recruited and closed hires in Software Development, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Executive Management, Finance, and Administration. Performed hiring for openings based in New York; and London as well as the Mountain View headquarters (based there during my tenure, then moved HQ to San Mateo). In addition, arranged and executed college hiring and attendance at job fairs. Coordinated agency activity while emphasizing non-fee sources. Implemented and maintained the hiring process, including the creation of requisitions, interview procedure, weekly reporting, and offer request process.

Coordinated over 190 hires in all departments of this software startup. Responsible for staffing function company-wide, including Munich and Sydney offices. Created and implemented employee referral program, agency policies, formal hiring process, and weekly reporting plan. Conducted college recruiting on three campuses for technical and MBA hiring. In addition to staffing duties, also took on responsibility for immigration visa processing, creation of domestic partner benefits, relocation coordination, and recruitment advertising.

Six Month Duration, ContractTasked with the development, implementation, and support of a College Recruiting Program for the most profitable division of the company. Surveyed hiring managers to generate list of target campuses, hiring requirements, and campus managers. Worked with centralized HR department's company-wide College Recruitment Program to assure compliance with their practices and policies. Traveled to M.I.T., Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Madison (Wisconsin), and several other local universities with hiring managers, assuring a positive experience and appropriate levels of faculty contact during campus visits. Performed aptitude hiring for Marketing, Business Development, Software/Hardware Engineering, and Finance within the Personal Connectivity division of 3Com. Offer for staff placement was extended at end of contract, but I opted to join my first startup.

Supported the Engineering Business Unit in creating and implementing the University Relations Program. Similar programs followed company-wide. Assigned campus managers, fostered relationships between universities and hiring managers who would join me for on-campus interviews and informational presentations. Conducted product donations to university Computer Science programs, including release updates as needed. Achieved hiring objectives for Software Engineers, as well as for Technical Writers, and Product Managers within the Engineering Business Unit for server and middleware technology, as well as for the tools and multimedia groups. During final year of tenure at Sybase, the company shifted focus away from College Recruiting and as result I took on more general technical recruiting duties. In addition to the above duties, also participated in the implementation and management of several staffing programs such as minority outreach and employee referrals. Conducted recruitment at historically black universities and at the annual recruiting event for the National Society for Black Engineers. Created and implemented employee referral giveaway raffle, increasing visibility of the program. Created an informational kiosk including a portal for hiring managers to access company's applicant tracking system.
