• Responsible for developing a simulation system to allow engineers to easily and completely test avionics equipment on virtualized vehicle hardware for unit testing and flight simulation of the Falcon 9 1st and 2nd.
• Created a hot bench simulation environment to allow an avionics suite to interface virtualized vehicle IO.
• Developed a scripting interface to enable test engineers to easily define simulator behavior.
• Oversaw further expansion of functionality by centralizing test scripting and ultimately all simulator IO data into a database resulting in a low-overhead test and verification tool through which all vehicle avionics.
• As well as hardware and software unit testing, the hot bench implementation also allows for testing of harnessing, power distribution, quick disconnects and EMI effects and characteristics, resulting in a comprehensive.
