Mary Lawrence is a vegan wellness educator and owner of Well on Wheels, Connecticut's premier vegan personal chef service. She offers whole foods plant-based meals prepared in clients’ homes, group cooking classes, corporate wellness workshops, vegan jumpstarts, and private cooking and raw food lessons. She is board member of the American Vegan Society and a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars, including the North American Vegetarian Society’s annual Summerfest, the Boston Vegetarian Society, and Northeast Organic Farming Association (NOFA). She has been a guest on Our Hen House, Vegan Radio, and The Dr. Don Show. In 2007 she published her first cookbook, Quick and Easy Vegan Cuisine, and contributed to the Friends of Animals’ cookbook, The Best of Vegan Cooking (2009). Her second cookbook, Easy Peasy Vegan Eats (2014), is a guide for people making the vegan transition. Colin Campbell Foundation at eCornell University and is a certified nutrition and wellness consultant through the American Fitness Professionals Association. She has an MA in Communication with concentration in Cultural Studies from the University of Hartford and a BA in English from the University of Connecticut. In addition to running her business, she has also been an adjunct professor of English at Gateway Community College in New Haven, CT for many years.
