In January of 2019 Wells was promoted to Director of Youth Programs, directly overseeing Climate Careers, a highly innovative youth employment social enterprise serving youth from low-income households, while simultaneously addressing climate issues through the provision of valuable efficiency services to thousands of residents each year. Accomplished through the training and employment of local youth, the program prioritizes disadvantaged and environmental social justice communities for its residential efficiency services. Wells worked as an Environmental and Natural Resource Management Specialist in The Gambia, West Africa. He spent the duration of his 27 months in a rural village, living with a local host family. His work was both locally based and nationwide, working with and adapting to all constraints.
