CAD conceptualisation, product design, project management, production engineering, sales and marketing support, quality control, database management and technical support.My role in this company was, until recently, to be a part of a very tight knit team of designers, tackling almost every aspect of the design process, from initial conceptualisation of new play equipment and discussion with the marketing board / MD, right through the creation of production documentation, installation instructions and custom scheme layouts, to providing comprehensive and helpful technical support to installers, subcontractors and other in-house staff. During my time at Playdale I feel that my project management skills have improved considerably along with gaining what I would consider to be invaluable experience in an extremely fast paced and enthusiastic work environment.

CAD conceptualisation, product design, production engineering and test systems design.My role in this company was to provide creative and technical support to the other five members of the design department and to the Sales and Marketing, Production and Quality departments. Mostly this support takes the form of CAD drawings, vector and raster based graphical artwork for promotional purposes and for production screen printing purposes, and also the design and assembly of welding jigs and test rigs for various products. The majority of tests carried out consist of extensive battery life tests, testing of motors, hinges, locks and complex single phase electrical / electronic systems (primarily controlling flow of water / soap etc) and include the production of comprehensive test reports and associated literature.I have gained experience with Dudley's own in-house sheet steel laser cutting machines (flat bed and 3D), CNC punch presses, automated press brakes, corner forming machines, hydraulic presses, screen printing facility, laser etching facility and more recently a dimensions 3d rapid prototype printer and a robotic welding machine.

Military Sonar and Communications Design EngineerI worked in two distinctly separate departments during my time at Ultra. Initially in the Test Systems Department in Sonar and Communications, designing and manufacturing electronic test equipment for in-house use, and later in the Surface Ship Torpedo Defence Department, designing Military Grade GPS systems for fitment to naval warships.
