I am an accomplished professional with strong track record in community engagement, employer relations, program/project coordination, and career services. I currently serve as the Director of Community Engagement in Development and External Affairs at Southern Methodist University (SMU) where my role encompasses many areas including developing strategic partnerships to highlight SMU's commitment to service and engagement at the institutional level, within the city of Dallas and beyond. I have also served over 10 years as a Career and Technical Education (CTE) director, instructional coach and instructor where the focus was on experiential learning as access for students to college and career pathways. In these roles I developed and led an advisory board comprised of business and community partners to support students in gaining relevant employment experience prior to and after graduation. My greatest strengths include creating a positive, collaborative environment that excites and invests all stakeholders and building teams to meet and exceed objectives. I am a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and serve on the boards of Voice of Hope, Inc., and Step Up Women's Network.
