I reviewed literature articles on existing moral psychology theories influencing individuals’ behaviours and attitudes. Subsequently, I designed and executed a pilot study applying moral theories to Singapore’s national security context. In addition, I also created a coding framework and coded over 500 qualitative responses to identify individuals’ attitudinal stance and endorsement of moral foundations.

Singapore

I was involved in developmental psychology research work, specifically related to children's concept of justice and their explicit, implicit racial biases. I visited preschools to test children aged 4 to 6 years old and was also involved in recruitment, testing of parent-child dyads aged 7 to 10 years old using Implicit Association Test. In addition, I coded and analysed the collected data, as well as attended lab meetings to discuss on research designs.

In Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA), I conceptualised a pilot trial which aimed at integrating the Language Environment Analysis (LENA) device into KidSTART programme to enhance a child's language environment. I was also involved in KidSTART Groups, where I documented the execution of this programme and developed a manual for it.

As a student researcher in ARCH, I had the opportunity to be exposed to qualitative research work and learnt a lot on research design, as well as analysis, through discussions in lab meetings. At the same time, I also gained experience in handling qualitative data, which involves transcribing and checking focus group data.
