About Wendi Pomerance Brick

There are 1,000,000 stray, abandoned, and feral cats in San Diego County. Yes, I am still consulting, for special projects and special clients. In addition, my new focus, for my "Third Act", is to help these cats.How can you help? So glad you asked!! Feral Cat Coalition is a non-profit organization in San Diego County dedicated to reducing the overpopulation of feral and abandoned cats through free, humane Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR). We believe it is our responsibility, as a community, to care for cats that have been forced, through human abandonment or failure to spay and neuter, to live outdoors. Keep doing great things!______FCC is a surgical clinic, offering FREE spay/neuter and other medical support to community/feral cats, and since 1992, we have spayed and neutered, and provided other medical assistance to over 75,000 cats. Licensed veterinarians perform spay/neuter surgeries at our surgical Clinic, and provide any medical assistance needed by each animal, which often includes extraction of broken, rotting, infected, or compromised teeth. These community cats are also given vaccines and fluids and any wound care they might night (just this past Friday Clinic, we had a pregnant female that had been shot with a BB gun). While we are located in San Diego County, approximately one third of our client cats come from hours away in surrounding Counties. Their human transport is often willing to trap the night before, wake up at dawn and drive to us, wait through the day for the surgeries to be completed, and drive the cats back home again. We have cats transported to us from Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Bernardino, to name a few. We are truly a unique operation in Southern California.
