Wendi Putranto is a music and media industry practitioner from Jakarta, Indonesia with more than 25 years of experience. His career spectrum ranges from journalist, editor, critic, music promoter, band manager, booking agent, publicist, TV host, lecturer, to venue and bar owner. He is the Co-founder and Program Director of M Bloc Group (PT Radar Ruang Riang), a holding company that owned leading creative spaces and small-scale music venues in Indonesia such as M Bloc Space (South Jakarta), Pos Bloc Jakarta (Central Jakarta), JNM Bloc (Yogyakarta) and Lokananta (Solo).In addition, he is currently the Personal Manager of Seringai, one of the biggest heavy metal band in Indonesia and also the CEO for Lokananta, a music heritage destination in Surakarta. He used to be a freelance lecturer in the Music Business Program SAE Jakarta. Previously, he was a former journalist for Rolling Stone Indonesia magazine for 12.5 years who has written various music events in the the world and interviewed many international superstars such as Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin), Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden), Megadeth, Slash ( Guns N 'Roses), Alice Cooper, etc.His first book entitled “Rolling Stone Music Biz: An Intelligent Manual of Mastering the Music Business” was published in 2009 by the publisher Bentang Pustaka and has been reprinted three times. At that time, apart from his profession as a journalist, for several years he was also one of the TV hosts for the flagship music program on the national television station tvOne, RadioShow.His career in the music industry began in 1996 by publishing the first DIY rock music magazine in Jakarta, Brainwashed Zine. Apart from being a reporter, he is also a photographer and editor for the magazine. He has also worked as a music journalist at the entertainment portal Bisik.com, Musickita.com, to Tabloid Rock.
