Sole purpose of this organization was to make Georgia a better place to do business by eliminating state inventory tax. Georgia was one of 9 states that still taxed companies' inventories and it was costing companies more to comply than the revenue raised for the state by the tax. GEPC garnered support for elimination of the tax from affected businesses and precisely activated this support to get the GA Inventory Tax Elimination Referendum bill successfully through a legislative process that passes less than 10% of proposed bills. Success! Nov. 2010 the referendum getting rid of GA's state inventory tax passed.
