What’s the best part of your job?Working alongside passionate, goal-driven individuals who are dedicated to fostering environments of equity and inclusivity.Career background/educationA Columbus native, I proudly served in the U.S. Army before returning to Ohio to pursue my education, earning a B.S in Business Administration, a B.S in Human Resource Management, a minor in Healthcare Management and a Master’s in Education (M.Ed).My corporate career began in financial services with Primerica, Prudential, and JP Morgan Chase, where I developed my skills as a data driven solution-focused administrator. In my role as Program Director at Multiethnic Advocates for Cultural Competence (MACC), I lead statewide programs and initiatives in training, community engagement, and organizational development. I manage high-value state and federal contracts, oversee the development and submission of large-scale RFPs, lead grant sourcing and proposal writing efforts to secure essential funding and drive impactful project execution through data-driven strategies and cross-functional team collaboration. My responsibilities include strategic planning, grant management, and stakeholder engagement to ensure program delivery aligns with both organizational goals and community needs. I am proud to have organized statewide conferences, coordinated community events, and mobilized grassroots efforts to support impactful campaigns for statewide policy change.In addition to my work at MACC, I have served as board treasurer for the Ohio Grandparent Kinship Care Coalition (OGKC) and Envision Proven Success, co-chaired the Ohio Adoption Planning Group, co-facilitated Ohio’s Family First Statewide Workgroup, and contributed to the Family Advisory Board at the Buckeye Ranch.Getting to Know MeWhat do you love about where you live?I love the vibrant cultural life in Columbus, Ohio. From Shakespeare in the Park at Schiller Park to the beautiful Franklin Park Conservatory and the many diverse celebrations held in our metro parks.What do you do outside of work?I enjoy long walks with my dog, listening to live music, and spending quality time with family and friends. When I’m not gardening, you’ll often find me absorbed in a good audiobook or binging my favorite series on Netflix or Hulu.
