My responsibilities include; * Completion of the Annual Information Governance Standard of Connection (IGSoC)* To provide expert advice on the control and administration of the processing of all sensitive personal data to national standards and statutory requirements.* Development of the annual improvement plan to attain the required level of connection.* Project managing the delivery of actions from the annual improvement plan. * Complete the annual audit plan across the business area and developing an ongoing audit schedule identifying and reporting against risks.* Coordinating, recording and reporting as appropriate, remedial actions required to address any security incident, breach or near miss.* Investigating, monitoring, assessing and reporting on the implications of new legislation and Government guidance in relation to data management * Provide Directorate wide communication and specific briefings relating to the use of data to individual staff, teams and managers at all levels.* Develop, maintain and implement the Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA's) process for all new or changing service needs across all Directorate services in accordance with the ICO's guidance.* Presenting regular information governance updates to all relevant boards * Implementing Privacy by Design Principles across the directorate* Updating Fair Collection Notices across the directorate
