Over the course of my teaching journey, I have had the opportunity to grow and develop my leadership skills. I have had the privilege of working under the leadership of many respected individuals. I have learned a lot and gained a better understanding of what my expectations are as I transition into my new role. Throughout the years, I was extremely hard on myself whenever I did not do well on a particular task. I would begin to doubt whether or not I was capable of completing the task that was required of me. As I continued to push myself, I began to gain confidence through both my positive and negatives experiences. My journey has helped me learn to be vulnerable. By allowing myself to be vulnerable, I was allowing myself to make mistakes, to accept those setbacks, disappointments, and failures that came with my journey.
