Supervises, mentors and coaches a team of 5 Episodic billing employees that cover 25 locations in 5 states. Complies with federal, state and local legal requirements by being aware of existing and new legislations. Supervises and ensures daily billing and transmission of claims to ensure timely submission to payors. Responsible for performing audits on aging to ensure timely collections of revenue and eliminate potential collection issues. Responsible for tracking and trending of claims rejections for timely education back to team. Reviews employee performance, manages performance improvement activities and hires new employees. Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring and appraising job results. Establishes annual goals and objectives for the department based on the organization’s strategic goals. Performs special projects as requested. Works independently without supervision.
