In the past six months, I have conducted my internship at Fundacion Avedis Donabedian Research Institute (FAD)’ in Barcelona (Spain). I was mainly involved in the SAFEST project, which is a 4-year EU-funded project aiming to improve patient safety in perioperative care. During this internship I have learned a lot about patient safety in general and specifically around surgery. Moreover, I have been involved in different (research) activities in different stages of the project.

Essensor is a company that seeks to find consumer and sensory insights for the development of food products. As a test assistant all kinds of tasks are involved: from preparation of the products to contact with consumers.
