Wendy Castillo (she/her/ella) is a recent MPH grduate from the University of Washington in the Community-Oriented Public Health Practice (COPHP) program. She received her Bachelors degree from Brown University in Sociology and Ethnic Studies. She has revolved her studies around issues of immigration, race/ethnicity, health inequities, and the Latine experience in the US. She is an LA native from the Westlake/Pico Union area and is passionate about community engagement, building community power, increasing accessibility, and addressing health inequities in BIPOC communities. Wendy currently works in the philanthropic services field as Program Associate at The California Endowment. Here she passionately works on Education Justice and Inclusive Community Development grant giving in the LA County Region.
