I originally worked with the Homeless Unit providing psychiatric as well as social services to the homeless/mentally ill of El Paso. For the remaining 3 years with the company, I worked as a liaison with the El Paso Psych Center coordinating services for patients transitioning back into the community. In addition, I was the state liaison for the forensic patients from El Paso, representing EPMHMR while working with the state hospitals. I also worked administratively with the inpatient trust fund, working to provide necessary services while also staying within the confines of the state budget.
