AIDS Resource is a non-profit AIDS Service Organization dedicated to providing services to those who are affected by HIV/AIDS and educating the community about the spread of HIV. Supervised youth outreach volunteers, college interns, Americorps Volunteers, and other college, high school and community volunteers (individuals and groups).Organized and Created Public Relations/Marketing Campaigns for specific goals (Awareness, Prevention, Consumer Groups, and Fundraising). Worked with 501(c)3 budgets including local, state and federal funding sources. Assisted with grant writing and budgeting/purchasing. Conducted outreach activities and trainings including; training youth outreach workers who provided street outreach in high-risk communities; prevention activities and presentations to high school students, college students, youth facilities, and community centers; and partnered with specific target groups to teach about prevention.Coordinated fundraising activities to include First Annual AIDSWalk held at area college.
