Wendy Curtis is Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel at Omni Logistics and is responsible for leading the Company's Legal, Compliance, and Risk Departments and serves as Secretary to the Board of Directors. Ms. Curtis is a member of the Executive Leadership Team, oversees and sets strategy for commercial contract matters, litigation, ethics and compliance and regulatory compliance, and supports strategic transactions and initiatives. She has also led the Company's Covid-19 response efforts. Prior to joining Omni Logistics, Ms. Curtis served as Corporate Secretary, Senior Vice President and in-house corporate counsel at CEVA Logistics and was responsible for leading the company’s corporate legal function including securities financing, corporate governance, special projects and M&A activities. Ms. Curtis was instrumental in helping CEVA complete its initial public offering and served as Secretary to the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee and the Audit Committee.Prior to joining CEVA, Ms. Curtis worked for 8 years at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP in the Corporate section and spent one year in the Litigation section. While at Akin Gump, Ms. Curtis advised clients (including large private equity firms) on domestic and international corporate finance transactions, particularly in the areas of high-yield debt offerings and capital restructurings of financially distressed companies. Ms. Curtis also handled mergers and acquisitions, matters related to entity formation, public company reporting obligations and general corporate governance.Ms. Curtis is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Dallas Bar Association and the Corporate Counsel Section of the State Bar of Texas. Ms. Curtis is a 2013 graduate of Leadership DISD and was honored by the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program for her work with the Human Rights Initiative of North Texas.Ms. Curtis received her Bachelor of Business Studies in Business Administration from Dallas Baptist University in 2002 and her J.D. in 2005 from Southern Methodist University, where she was a member of the Moot Court Board and Phi Alpha Delta and served as a chief justice in the legal clinic. In her spare time, Ms. Curtis enjoys playing soccer in a Dallas area women’s soccer league.
