Wendy Dixon-Whiley is an Illustrator and Visual Artist working in the Adelaide Hills in South Australia. With a Bachelor of Illustration Design and Master of Visual Art and Creative Practice, Wendy has participated in multiple group and solo exhibitions and works from her studio at the Hahndorf Academy in South Australia. She is best known in the Adelaide Hills for her large scale street art projects and her work is held in private collections in Australia and internationally.In her illustration practice Wendy has worked with brands including Pirate Life Brewing, the Women's & Children's Hospital Foundation, Crafty Robot Brewing, Rubberside Down, Hayes Family Wines, Vinteloper, the Arts Industry Council of SA, PyCon AU. Wendy has also project managed and delivered a number of workshop programs for primary and high school students in metropolitan and rural South Australia and is a current Board Member of The Hahndorf Academy. Tracing her influences back to 80’s street art as well as graphic illustrative styles from 90’s popular culture her practice incorporates drawing, painting, installation and experimental methods to bring these ideas to life. Dixon-Whiley distills her imagery through a process of working with unbroken and unhesitant mark-making through to more detailed, illustrative works.
