A tertiary qualified executive in the construction industry with over 26 years’ experience. Currently providing design and project management services to Clients and Developers with REAL Project Solutions Pty Ltd. I started REAL Project Solutions over 5 years ago and some of the projects undertaken in that time include the following:Residential: Currently Project managing a townhouse development in Brisbane areaRetail: Supermarket and Fast Food Outlet refurbishments (Qld and Vic), Offices: Client Side PM role for new build and refurbishments, Insurance: Disaster recovery claims (post cyclones, hailstorm and flood events) managing multiple sites concurrently, Gaming and hospitality: new build and refurbishments. Design and Project Management Services: to Tier 1 Builders and Major Food Retailers. I have been a short term resource to assist when these companies found themselves short staffed or in need of an additional DM/PM to get their project back on program.During my time with Lendlease, I project managed a $10m insurance claim for the Tully Sugar Mill on behalf of Suncorp Insurance, worked on the successful $1.8b Public Private Partnership bid for the Sunshine Coast University Hospital and, subsequent to that bid, was the Project Manager for the design and delivery of two multi storey car parks at that facility, containing a total of 3300 car spaces.I held a variety of senior positions with Woolworths Ltd (incl. Qld State Construction Manager). This involved managing a team of internal and external Project Managers, Equipment Coordinators, and Consultants to deliver new stores, refurbishments and rollouts.My early years were site based in roles including Foreman and Site Manager with T1 builder Walter Construction Group (formerly Concrete Constructions Ltd), working on various Commercial and Residential developments.A firm understanding of construction and management from a broad base of experience enables me to successfully manage my team as well as multiple small projects simultaneously, or larger individual projects, as needed.

This is a key contractual milestone for the whole of the project.• Manage the design team to finalise all design details, comply with the requirements of the Client’s Brief, EH’s Bid submission, all relevant Authorities, standards, codes and legislation• Delivery the projects within budget. This includes incorporation of some site wide procurement requirements, as well as engaging with subcontractors outside of the site wide procurement strategy. Large focus on local engagement to be complied with• Ensure Greenstar requirements and obligations under the brief are met• Finalisation Manager for Carpark 2 - ensuring all documentation required under the Project Deed was provided to the Independent Reviewer to enable the Early Technical Completion of this building to be achieved on time. -
Project ManagerLend Lease Oct 2011 - Jun 2012Brisbane, AustraliaProject Manager – Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH) bid phase – FF&FE • $1.8billion Public Private Partnership (PPP) Project• Responsible for the Furniture, Fixtures, Fittings and Equipment portion of the bid submission• This included both direct pricing with Suppliers, managing a specialist health consultant to price the health equipment items, and internal cost planning to price ancillary items and joinery elements etc. Covered all Group 1, 1A and 3A equipment from soap dispensers to automated sterilising system equipment• Compilation of a comprehensive dossier covering in excess of 1000 different items of FF&FE across 6684 rooms• Involvement in the design of and equipment supply for the Central Sterilising Services Unit• Challenging prices from Consultant Health Specialist and Suppliers to obtain best value for money options whilst complying with Brief requirements and ensuring Fit for Purpose equipment and machinery inclusion that met all of the codes, regulations and infection control requirements as stipulated in the Client’s brief.

Project ManagerLend Lease Feb 2011 - Oct 2011Brisbane Area, Australia / Tully - (Northern Qld)Project Manager – Suncorp (Vero) Insurance – Tully Sugar Mill Claim • Responsible for Project Managing the Insurance claim of the Tully Sugar Mill after Cyclone Yasi in February 2011. • Critical element was to get the Mill operational again prior to the crushing season, which commenced just four months after the cyclone• The Tully Sugar Mill is the town's single largest employer. In addition to this, more than 200 farmers in the district rely on the mill for the processing of their crop. I managed the insurance repairs such that Tully Sugar Mill went back into production ahead of schedule, as well as saving Suncorp insurance in excess of $4million dollars in potential claim costs• Total cost to repair not only portions of the Mill, its three Cooling Towers, forty residential buildings, 4 farms and various ancillary elements (radio towers etc) was reduced from in excess of $14m to $10m• Avoided Business interruption claims by programing the works to ensure the Mill was able to commence processing of sugar cane in accordance with their yearly program.• Listened to the Client and worked cooperatively with them to achieve the best outcome for them as well as Suncorp• Made good decisions promptly that allowed the seriously damaged facility to operate at near full capacity just 5 months after a major natural disaster.
